Sis, sometimes things happen in life where we feel attacked, overwhelmed, discouraged, or just plain angry. As I reflected on this exact kinda day that I had yesterday (experiencing all of the above!), I remembered something that I have to remind myself often, "It's not about you, Keesha."
Everything is not about you, against you, or even for you.
Some things happen in life in order for you to teach somebody something. Someone may need to learn from you or glean something that you do exceptionally well that they struggle with.
Other times, things happen for you to learn something. Look at your situation and circumstances and see what you can learn from it. Habits you can change. Adopting a new perspective. Thoughts you had that created the situation. I could go on and on. You get the point, right?
Listen, there are times, probably more often than not, that things in life happen for you to experience both. There's something for you to teach and for you to learn all at the same time. This is why self-reflection and evaluation is important to bettering yourself and even your life.
When this happens, stop and R.E.S.E.T. Reset Every System, Every Thought.
