We’re thrilled to invite you to our Affirmation Rock Painting Workshop, hosted by Serenity, Courage and Wisdom, Inc. (SC+W)’s Creative Arts Program. This special evening is more than just painting — it’s about coming together to uplift survivors, build community, and create enduring symbols of strength.

📍 Date & Time: Friday, December 12, 2025 — 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM

📍 Location: SC+W Cancer Resource Center, 115 Henderson St, Monroe, NC 28112

🩵 What to Expect

All Supplies Provided: Acrylic markers, rocks, gloss — everything you need to create a meaningful piece.
No Experience Needed: Whether you’re an artist or first-time painter, this workshop is for you.
Community & Support: You’ll be among advocates, caregivers, survivors, and supporters — a safe, affirming space for sharing stories, healing, and hope.
Purposeful Art: Every painted rock will carry a word of affirmation — like Hope, Faith, Courage, Resilience, Love, or “You Got This!” — and will be gifted to cancer survivors to bring them encouragement, love, and strength this holiday season.
Goal: 160 painted affirmation rocks

At SC+W, our mission is to support cancer survivors and raise awareness about gynecologic cancers through the creative arts. This workshop embodies that mission — by turning simple rocks into powerful symbols of love, resilience, and healing. We strive to help survivors feel seen, supported, and cherished.

At SC+W, we Encourage Healing through the creative arts. Art has a special way of healing. Painting together gives us the space to express emotions, embrace hope, and remind survivors they are not alone. Every brush stroke becomes more than color — it becomes a message: You are loved. You are strong. You belong.
