HPV...What's That?
HPV stands for human papillomavirus, which earns its name because some of the HPV types cause warts or papillomas, non-cancerous tumors. HPV is known as the main cause for most cases of cervical cancer. HPV can be broken up into two categories, Low Risk and High Risk.
